Ruslan Vilensky │ SOLO I

On January 26th, 7PM, at VEF Cultural Palace we invite you to the concert of the cellist Ruslan Vilensky. In his career he had always been fueled by the desire of breaking boundaries through non-traditional collaborations showing his versatility and his capability of exploring beyond limits, in a way of generating new exchanging possibilities and sharing it with his audience. He has collaborated with world-renowned classical music and jazz artists, as well as well known contemporary music composers .

He was the pupil of a world renowned professor David Geringas and Latvian born cellist Eleonora Testelec. From 2007 until 2009 he was a fellow of the orchestra academy of the Berlin Philharmonic. From 2010 until 2012 he was a principal guest cellist at the Mariinsky Theatre Symphony Orchestra. He has been invited to perform at the world’s most prominent venues such as the "Concertgebouw" in Amsterdam,  Konzerthaus Berlin, Berliner Philharmonie, Suntory Hall Tokyo, Alte Oper Frankfurt, Theater Diligentia den Haag, Berwaldhallen Stockholm, Mariinsky Hall St. Petersburg, Jazzhus Montmartre and others.

Besides his activities in the classical music, Ruslan has created and produced projects such as "Pablo Ziegler meets Ruslan Vilensky" with Grammy Award winning Nuevo Tango legend Pablo Ziegler, "Italian Night" with one of the world's finest accordion players Fausto Beccalossi (Al di Meola Group), "Duo Sinesi & Vilensky" with Latin-Grammy Award winning argentinian guitarist Quique Sinesi.
